Sanchez has just one year remaining on his contract to play for the gunners and there are already meetings in place to discuss a new deal moving forward. It is expected that the Chilean star will sign a new deal this summer.
Reports suggest that there are clubs out there that wish to make a bid for the twenty eight year old super star. Both Manchester United and Manchester City are said to be interested in addition to Paris Saint-Germain in France. Despite the high level of interest, Club Manger, Arsene Wenger, insists that Arsenals star forward is not for sale.
Speaking to the press Wenger said that he believes Sanchez is happy at Arsenal and on his behalf said that he thinks that the player would want to stay at the club. Referring to the player Wenger added that he won’t be sold to another club in the premiership, stating, Why would you want to sell one of your strongest players especially one that strengthens Arsenal like Sanchez does. He is possibly one of Arsenals most precious commodities.
The manager said again that he felt that both parties would be able to come to an agreement as they both have similar desires.
Arsene Wenger’s future at the London based club is still up in the air however, as he is still uncertain whether or not he will return next season to manage the club. In spite of this the long term manager has said that he will be working on bringing in new blood over the summer:
“I work until the last day of the season for the future. Transfer targets are important for the future of the club. My future is secondary. The future of the club is important.”
Arsenal are due to play at home tonight verses last year’s title winners Leicester. If they can secure a win they will climb back up the premiership to number six.
