Arsene Wenger reassures fans that have criticised the long standing manager. Often shying away from buying and selling in the transfer window, Wenger says that this is the year Arsenal will add to their talents.
With the transfer window due to close in less than two weeks, Arsene Wenger has said that he will be making bids for fresh faces at the Club.
Arsenals manager will take steps to ensure that his team are not left behind this season. In the past the man in charge has been reluctant to spend money where it isn’t needed. In fact his idea of a poorly run club is one in which the players contracts are paid over the odds for. He is also of the opinion that paying high wages for his players doesn’t always prove fruitful. Money must be spent but it must also be spent in the right places.
With a high number of injured players on the payroll it is no wonder that Wenger is hoping to make some changes. Last week Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi had to be taken off during Arsenal’s premiership opening match against Liverpool. Jack Wilshere, Gabriel, and Per Mertesacker were all declared unfit before the start of the season. It is also old news that Danny Welbeck is currently on long term leave.
The French manager has attempted to reassure fans that have begun to have less faith in him. Having been boss at the club for twenty years, Wenger believes that the fans need to trust him and the decisions that he plans to make at this time.
He may not have committed to buying and selling in a massive way but he does enough. The sixty six year old backed this up with figures stating that he has completed over 400 transfers during his time with the gunners. No one could question his dedication to the club.
