David Haye is set to enjoy today’s trip to Liverpool ahead of this weekend’s big fight. Haye is scheduled to appear in a press conference, in his rival, Tony Bellew’s, home city.
Haye is said to be all set for any abuse he might receive in Liverpool. The 36 year old boxing professional has expressed that he intends to relish in anything that he happens to be on the receiving end of. In fact he has stated that he is looking forward to being able to say that he has been to his rival’s home city.
Bellew has had to face the wrath of the Londoners fans in the past, naturally Haye wants to be able to say that he has done the same in the North.
In just five days’ time David Haye will face his opponent in the ring, he plans to use any abuse that is thrown at him to fuel his aggression in the Saturday night fight.
In an exclusive interview prior to his trip, Haye actually stated that he was looking forward to, ‘getting some verbals, and getting some grief’. He described the possibility of abuse as fun.
The talented fighter also said that his opportunity to face his opponent’s fans in such a way would only be fair, owing to Bellew’s thrashing in the past.
Eddie Hearn, promoter, is hoping that this scheduled trip won’t have a negative impact on the behaviour of the two parties. He is hoping that the pair are well controlled and event considered separation using a fence in the build-up. A measure deemed necessary to ensure that there is no repeat of the incident that saw the pair suspended towards the end of last year.
