There is plenty of gossip going around about the football transfers, what are possible moves and whether they will complete or not. There are opportunities for massive moves which could improve the Premier League or could arguably make it worse. The big names that are being talked about now are world famous key players who can change a side single-handedly. The Top 5 names are Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale, Wayne Rooney, Cesc Fabregas and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Luis Suarez is one of the most controversial and ‘drama surrounding’ names in the sport. He is certainly a key player and is one of the world’s best strikers currently playing for Liverpool, finishing as the second highest goal scorer in the Premier League last season. Whilst his talent is undeniable, his name is always in the newspapers.
In his career, he has been fined and given an 8 match ban for racial abuse against Patrice Evra, whilst he has been involved in two biting incidents receiving a 7 match ban at Ajax and a 10 match ban with Liverpool. The Uruguayan is in the current football transfers news as he has announced that the English league and officials are harsh on him and he may want to leave England. He has revealed that he hopes to catch the eye of Real Madrid; yet, will any club want a man who is constantly surrounded by drama?
Gareth Bale is a player who is heavily in demand among the football transfers as last year he won the Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year awards. The Welshman has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, but nothing has really came of it. If Real Madrid truly wanted to buy Gareth Bale, it would be hard for him to turn down a chance to go to one of the best clubs in the world. However, Bale seems happy at Spurs so it is more than likely he will stay in England with the manager he gets on wonderfully with, André Villas-Boas.
Wayne Rooney is one of many football transfer rumours going on in Manchester United as he reportedly told Sir Alex Ferguson he wanted to leave before the Scot retired last season. However, the new manager, David Moyes, has revealed his intentions to keep the England man at the Red Devils in case Robin van Persie gets injured. New Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has shown great interest in Wayne Rooney, but the Red Devil is at the best English club there is and could be persuaded to stay.
Manchester United have revealed a new football transfer interest in Barcelona and ex Arsenal man, Cesc Febregas, and have put up a bid of reportedly £25 million for the Spaniard. However, Fabregas moved to Barcelona as it was the club he had always wanted to be at and stay there in replace of Xavi and Iniesta. So is it realistic for him to move back to England after having cup success every year at the team he wanted to be at his whole career?
The fifth and arguably biggest name in the football transfers gossip is the Real Madrid man, Cristiano Ronaldo. It is all happening with Manchester United as he has been linked with a possible move back to the Red Devils as the Portuguese is not fully happy at the Spanish giants. Many believe that if Real Madrid can capture Gareth Bale, they will let Ronaldo leave. Yet Madrid’s chairman has repeatedly said he wants to keep Ronaldo at all costs, despite Ronaldo keeping his mind open to returning to the club which made him the player he is today.
