Harry Fry is hoping to further his options for the Eight year old Unowhatimeanharry. The renowned trainer is hoping to have the horse qualify for the Partemps final. A qualification could mean that there will be many more options available to the Bay Gelding at the Cheltenham Festival.
Harry Fry has said that Unowhatimeanharry is on target for the Partemps qualifier at Exeter this February. The horse is said to be fit and on form for what promises to be a great year.
Formally trained by Helen Nelmes, the eight year old has come on in leaps and bounds since his move to Harry Fry’s stables. So far this season he has achieved no less than three winners off three starts. This year is definitely looking to be a good one for the gelding as well as for the team behind him, provided he can prove he is up to the Pretemps.
Fry has said that if Unowhatimeanharry qualifies then he will have options at the Cheltenham Festival in March as well as the Albert Bartlett. He has also said that if he were forced to make the choice right now then he would choose to go down the Pertemps route. It got to be the better choice if it gives the horse a chance to make his mark in addition to making some money.
Fry made reference to the beginning of the year and the race that Unowhatimeanharry missed out on in Lanzarote. He had what was deemed to be a poor scope just prior to the race. Fry just didn’t want to take risks when his horse wasn’t 100 per cent.He has, however recovered since then and is ready to face whatever race comes his way.
Fry described his horses’ current condition as A1.
