The much anticipated boxing match between David Haye and Tyson Fury has unfortunately been postponed due to David Haye picking up a minor injury which would affect his form in the match. The Haye v Fury fight was planned to be this weekend on 28th September, but an upset Haye had to ask permission for the fight to be delayed as the British boxer suffered a cut above his eye whilst sparring. Obviously the former World Heavyweight Champion could not go into the fight with an already cut eye, which needed 6 stitches, as it would be a massive disadvantage.
Due to the demand of the Haye v Fury fight being so high, the organisers were quick to organise another fight in the same place, just at a different time. The build-up has been very exciting with both competitors hitting out at each other attempting to get in the oppositions head before the match in February. After Haye released a picture of his cut above his left eye proving that he was unfit to fight, Fury tweeted, “Get this clown of a fighter back in the ring with Tyson Fury,” demanding an immediate reschedule.
The ‘Haymaker’ commented on how happy he was about the re-scheduling of the Haye v Fury match, “News of the date in February is music to my ears. I was absolutely devastated this weekend, and felt as though I’d let a lot of people down. My fans will still get the chance to see what they all wanted to see this weekend. They’ll get to see Tyson Fury sparked out in a spectacular fashion.” However, it will not be easy as Tyson Fury is still undefeated in his impressive career whilst David Haye has lost 2 of his 26 fights; it will be a superb fight and one not to miss.
