John Stones could make a move from Everton to Chelsea if the blues get their way. The young talents of John Stones have been requested several times within this year’s transfer window. On Tuesday it was said that he has handed in a transfer request.
John Stones is rumoured to be an ideal replacement for Chelsea star, John Terry as he will eventually play out his final season. Chelsea will need a defender to fill his shoes.
Ronnie Branson coach of Barnsley academy said that the youngster had real potential and that hitting the big time by making a move as big as this wouldn’t phase him.
John Stones former coach also believes that the youngster is on target for a great career, and has spoken out regarding the twenty one year olds talent on the pitch:
“He’s a real defender, there is a lot of talk at the moment about whether he is a good defender. We all know he can step in and get the ball and set attacks off but can he defend? Yes he can. He has a steeliness that people don’t realise.”
Branson who has coached the lad since he was young added:
“He’s done well at Everton and got into the England first team. Every step he’s taken, he’s managed it well, so going there won’t phase him.”
Despite the rumours Everton are said to have denied the youngster his request as he still has four years remaining on his contract with them. Everton’s boss Roberto Martinez has said that he will not be sold this summer.
All involved will be anticipating a definitive answer as soon as possible, especially since the season is already upon us and because it will settle the buzz surrounding the news in the media.
