Mayweather and Pacquiao in taunting Battle

The undefeated, Floyd Mayweather and Filipino Manny Pacquiao are headlining against each other, in an attempt to showcase scare tactics, ahead of this Saturday’s fight of the century. The fixture is set to earn the pair record breaking sums, to the tune of millions, and will be hosted in Las Vegas at the famous MGM Grand casino resort arena.

Mayweather taunts Pacquiao over money

It has been revealed that Mayweather is ‘concerned’ for his opponent as he is only set to earn 40% against his own 60% share of the purse. In an effort to make Pacquiao feel undervalued and less significant in the headlines, Mayweather has pointed out that if he had been fighting under his own management he would have been looked after properly.

Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, has retaliated and suggested that he fears Mayweather will not turn up to fight. In a bold statement made to provoke Mayweather, Roach insists that the Undefeated Champion is possibly afraid of the battle and that he seems to have gone quiet.  Mayweather insists he has no need to retaliate to this as the fight sells itself. True to Mayweather’s statement the fight is an eagerly anticipated event and is proving to be a prominent feature in sporting news across the globe.

In attempt to prove his worth, Mayweather reveals that he is set to receive a whopping pay check of two hundred Million from the fight, much of this will come from advertising. He is a world renowned fighter and is already an extremely wealthy individual. He plans to divide his pay between his children as well as making a substantial increase to his own wealth. Mayweather has expressed his pride following his career and has stated that he actually doesn’t have to fight any more if he doesn’t want to. He has outwardly thanked his fans for their support throughout his career:

“Today I was thinking about how thankful I am for my fans. I’m so thankful for my fans. Every day when I’m training at the gym, there’s 200 or 300 fans waiting out there for me.”
