With just six weeks left in the 2015/16 Barclays premiership the media as well as fans are all taking punts at who they think will top the table when it’s all over . This season will certainly go down in history as both one of the best and the worst for premiership fans up and down the country.
The usual top runners have been getting by with average performances and we have seen the likes of Leicester City climb steadily to the top. Previous championship winners such as Chelsea football club and Manchester United are no longer dominating the table. The London blues find themselves in the middle of the table after what has been a fairly unsuccessful season.
Tottenham have also had their fair share of success this season and sit neatly under Leicester where either of these top runners could steal the title in six weeks’ time. There are currently just five points between them from thirty one games played.
Usual top spot holders Arsenal are sitting at number three in the table with thirty games played and fifty five points to their name. Currently West Ham are doing well in at number five. They should be able to climb a bit higher all going well with their next fixture against Crystal Palace, who are someway behind them.
It seems likely that Leicester will defeat the odds, in six weeks, and walk away with the title but anything could happen in this weekend’s premiership fixtures as every team has everything to play for. One thing is certain, however, as Aston Villa have some tough times ahead. After a very poor season, owing to bad decisions early on, the Midlands team are well and truly on target for relegation.
