Tottenham multi million pound signing, Son-Heung Min, is off the team for now. He has been told to rest after sustaining what is described to be a worrying foot injury.
Tottenham could be set to suffer at the loss of Son-Heung Min, for the next few weeks. The Korean has proved his worth already with a great start to the season for the London based team. He has scored three goals in five games for the premiership side.
Tottenham boss, Mauricio Pochettino, has spoken out with reference to the stars injury and has made it clear that the Korean will not be travelling home during his time off of the field:
“He is injured and I think he will stay in England for recovery. I think he will stay with us because it is impossible to travel with his national team. I think it will be a few weeks but it is an injury we need to assess every day. We are lucky that we have the international break now, two weeks and we hope it is a quick recovery. We believe it is not a big, big issue but the recovery is always different with different players.”
Tottenham are currently standing in good stead in the Europa League following their three to one win over Qarabag. Despite this, Pochettino, insists that there are issues the English teams need to address within the competition.
“The European teams treat this competition with priority and sometimes rest players in the domestic competition. For England it is the different, opposite. It is true we need to assess and analyse and try to know why because it is important to fix that. We need to compete better in Europe.”
